This episode started with a few international news that are easily related to Iran. A new report shows that the money spent in Afghanistan since 9/11, when adjusted, is more than what ‘the West’ invested as part of Marshall plan in the 16 European countries post WWII. Corruption, as it is revealed, being the main cause of billions of dollars not reaching their destination, as well as mismanagement and lack of research/knowledge while allocating the funds to different projects.

Another news was Baroness Warsi’s resignation in protest of David Cameron’s policies towards Gaza. We spoke about symbolic resignations and their efficiency.

In other, ‘fun’ news we reviewed the absurd comments made by deputy foreign minister of Turkey, claiming that women should not be laughing in public as it is unchaste and immoral. Ha ha ha.

And our lovely guest was Luna Shad, a wonderful documentary filmmaker and TV personality who recently was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. Luna’s public approach in talking about her illness was welcomed by many, as in Iranian culture speaking of cancer and especially breast cancer is still quite taboo and many prefer not to admit to their friends or family that they are sick.
